Poultry feed calculator (Ghana)

About 4–4.5 kg over six weeks for a 2.0–2.5 kg bird, split across starter, grower and finisher. For 500 broilers that is roughly 2 tonnes, or about 40–45 bags of 50 kg. The calculator totals it for your numbers.

A brown layer eats about 115–125 g a day once in lay, so around 42–45 kg a year per bird. Growers eat less while young. Enter the number of weeks you are planning for and the calculator sums the intake.

Yes. Poor or mouldy feed, heat stress and the wrong particle size all raise how much a bird eats per kilo of gain. Buy from a trusted mill, store feed dry and off the floor, and watch for aflatoxin.
